Clinical Cases for Training

Diagnosis/Treatment Quandaries

With the advent of Metabolic Medicine as sub specialty in general medicine or chemical pathology, there is a need to develop a training session. It should be beneficial to paediatricians in training and to clinical scientists in training. It is proposed to have a training session on the morning of 1st July 2004, preceding the National Meeting which will be open to all trainees.

We will have a series of cases with diagnostic quandaries or management issues which would be of interest to other trainees. To give some structure, Dr. Graham Shortland, Dr. Mike Henderson and Dr. Peter Galloway will be present to guide and direct discussion.

The meeting will start at 9.30 a.m. and will finish shortly after 12 noon, with a 20 minute coffee break just before eleven.

The cost of this extra meeting is £15.00, but is free to anybody who is willing to present a case.

I would be grateful if you could submit a brief outline of the case you wish to present by 1st May so that a programme can be drawn up. This will be distributed to all those who have registered for the Training Meeting.
